My husband & I are custodians of a 2 story seniors' recreation hall with approximately 2000 square feet of carpeting throughout. Many times I have had the hose on the hall's Kenmore Whispertone plug up on me & have found the fastest & simplest way to clear it is to place the wand end under our bathtub faucet with the hose laid out on tub bottom, then run water through it at fairly high pressure. Make sure water flow goes only INSIDE the wand. When clog & built up dirt are removed hang it over something high such as your shower curtain rod or balcony railing & let dry completely (at least one full day). Thank you for this post. I printed it, grabbed a quarter, sent it down the tube and it didn't come back. I tried to send a snake down the tube and it didn't get far. I finally whacked the end against the carpet and a chunk of dog hair fell out and then so did a bunch Christmas tree pine needles. With more whacks, more chunks of dog hair come toward the end which I helped out with a screw driver. Eventually the quarter made it through. Your post saved the day!
