I own a rainbow e series purchase april 2003, first it smell some burn rubber then it just stop last month april 28,2009 I went to the distributor they told me not under waranty and it will cost me $700 to replace the motor is that normal? there is no hope for this type of vacume I don’t recommend this to anyone. anybody knows what is the best vacume cleaner i don’t care what brand as long that is not rainbow.

hi my name is steven, I owned a rainbow for years and it is a pain in the butt to have to fill the water every time you vacuum and then empty it!!! mine always had problems and they always charged me out the a**.lol. I dont no if you ever heard of kirby vacuum before but honestly it blows rainbow out of the water. me and my wife bought one from my brother about two years ago and it was the best thing we have ever bought!!! It has a shampooer and tons of other attachments. it also has the crazest suction I ever seen!!! Then to top it off it comes with a life time warranty!!!! my dog chewed the cord on mine like 2 months ago and I thought it was going to cost me a arm and a leg. but when I took it to the guy he said no problem it will be ready tomorrow! then I asked how much it would be he just smiled and said free!!!! but anyways if interested my brother still works for them and I could get you a brand new one for 800.00 with all the warrantys!!! they retail for over 1800.00 or you can go on ebay and get one used for like 600.00 but it would have no warrantys or noting.
