I need to check the switch on my Electrolux Ambassador vacuum but can’t figure out how to take it apart. It is all plastic – I can’t find any screws. Can someone help please?

Opened housing to replace; found two loose parts. 1) a clear nylon washer with a star shaped cutout in the center instead of a circle. 2) a metal part that is made of a stiff piece of wire, like the wire that a wire hanger is made of.
