Vacuum Cleaner Repair and Installation Tips – Free!

MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE FROM THE WALL OUTLET BEFORE PROCEEDING!

Lower the handle to the floor.
Remove the 2 screws from the brush roll cover
Remove the brush roll cover
Remove brush roll and belt. Put the new belt around the motor shaft and brush roll

Lower handle to the floor.
Remove two screws from hood.
Lift out left end of brush roll
Remove old belt and install new belt
Rotate brush roll by hand before applying power to ensure new belt is not pinched in housing.

This procedure will work on almost all Eureka and Sanitaire upright vacuums with a plastic fan located on the underside of the machine as shown:

Remove the metal wand from the power nozzle neck
Set the power nozzle upsidw down on a work bench with a pad under it
