Miele vacuums

My 25 year old Electrolux finally died. I was quoted over $300 to get it back in working order and a new one is around $2000 – ouch!! I’ve looked around and I’m impressed with the Miele (Callisto model), but I’d never heard of them before. Any opinions?? We have hardwood and 2 bedrooms w/carpet.
